May 27, 2018 - Top 5 Finish in Gary Cook Jr. Memorial at Spoon River
After Mother Nature rained Friday’s opener at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois), Bob Gardner headed to Fairbury American Legion Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois) on Saturday night for the $2,000 top prize. In a field of 17 cars, Bob laid down the ninth fastest time in qualifying before scoring a 5th place finish in his heat race. Rolling off 9th, Gardner got turned around on lap-5 sending him to the tail. Working his way into the Top-10 in remaining distance, Bob Gardner advanced nine spots to place 8th.

On Sunday evening at Spoon River Speedway (Canton, Illinois) for the Midwest Big 10 Series sanctioned Gary Cook Jr. Memorial, Bob locked his spot into the main event with a 2nd place finish in his heat. With $1,200 on the line, Gardner notched a 5th place finish behind Mike Spatola, Ryan Unzicker, Jose Parga, and Ricky Frankel.

May 19, 2018 - Gardner Lands Top 5 Finish at Farmer City Raceway
Friday night brought Bob Gardner to Lincoln Speedway (Lincoln, Illinois) for the Big 10 Super Late Model Series sanctioned program. After completing hot laps and qualifying, Mother Nature moved and rained out the remaining events.

Bob made the last second decision and packed up and headed to Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) to make it in time for the feature. Starting in 8th, Bob passed four cars to place 4th behind Kevin Weaver, Mike Spatola, and Jason Feger with Ryan Unzicker coming in 5th.

The following night at Peoria Speedway (Peoria, Illinois), Gardner locked his spot into the A-Main with a 4th place finish in his heat. Starting in 7th, Bob jumped up one spot in the 25-lapper logging a 6th place outing.

May 12, 2018 - Bob Gardner Soars to First Win of the Season at Peoria Speedway
Bob Gardner returned to Farmer City Speedway (Farmer City, Illinois) on Friday night for the MARS Racing Series sanctioned Farmer City 74. Drawing 35 Super Late Models for the $10,000-to-win main event, Gardner timed in fifth fastest in his group before passing one car in his heat race to place 4th. Slated to roll off 14th for the 74-lap affair, Bob suffered a broken driveshaft on the parade lap ending his night before he was able to record a lap.

On Saturday after the FALS Frenzy at Fairbury American Legion Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois) was postponed by Mother Nature, Gardner headed to Peoria Speedway (Peoria, Illinois) for the regular night of racing. After leading every lap of his heat race, Bob swept the night leading all 30 circuits in the feature to pick up his first win of the season. Mike Spatola, Mike Glasscock, Matt Shannon, and Drew Wilkerson completed the Top-5 finishers.

May 5, 2018 - Gardner Bags Top 5 Finish at FALS
On Friday evening Bob Gardner visited Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) competing in a field of 15 Super Late Models. Following the fourth fastest time in qualifying, Gardner landed a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Ryan Unzicker locking his spot into the show. Rolling off 7th, Bob dropped three positions logging a 7th place outing.

The following night at Fairbury American Legion Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois), Bob scored a 3rd place finish in his heat positioning him 6th on the starting grid for eh feature. Breaking into the Top-5, Gardner improved one spot in the 30-lap affair to place 5th behind Ryan Unzicker, Mike Spatola, Allen Weisser, and Jason Feger.
