June 28, 2018 - Gardner Wraps up Legends Week at Spoon River
On Monday night Bob Gardner was one of 23 Super Late Models on hand at Spoon River Speedway (Canton, Illinois) for rescheduled DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell tour sanctioned event. After losing Tuesday’s event at Charleston Speedway (Charleston, Illinois) to bad weather, Bob returned with the Hell Tour on Thursday at La Salle Speedway (LaSalle, Illinois). With 34 Super Late Models registered in for action, Gardner locked his spot into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with a 4th place finish in his heat. Rolling off 15th, Bob got caught behind a wreck on lap-8 that dropped back to a 16th place outing.

June 24, 2018 - Top 10 Finish in Hell Tour Action at Tri-City Speedway
After Mother Nature wiped out three straight events, Bob Gardner returned with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour on Friday night at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Illinois) competing in a field of 35 cars. Passing four cars in his heat race, Gardner landed a 2nd place finish behind Nick Hoffman locking him into the 6th-starting position for the feature. Holding his spot for all 40-laps, Bob Gardner posted an 8th place finish.

On Saturday night at Fairbury American Legion Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois), Gardner suffered a broken oil pump during hot-laps preventing him from making it out for qualifying. Starting on the tail of his heat, Bob broke a driveshaft forcing him to rely on a provisional into the show. With $10,000 on the line, Bob Gardner improved three spots to place 17th.

Sunday night found 23 cars in action at Tri-State Speedway (Haubstadt, Indiana) wrapping up the second week of the Summer Nationals Hell Tour. Laying down the fifth fastest time in his group, Bob earned the 14th-starting position for the feature after threatening rained forced officials to scratch heat races and B-Mains. Coming one spot shy of a Top-10 finish, Bob Gardner jumped up three spots in the 40-lap affair reeling in an 11th place finish.

June 16, 2018 - 7th Place Finish in Hell Tour Opener at Peoria Speedway
Kicking off the UMP DIRTcar Summernationals Hell Tour, Bob Gardner was one of 38 Super Late Models signed in at Peoria Speedway (Peoria, Illinois) on Wednesday night for the $5,000 top prize. Following the third fastest time in his qualifying group, Gardner landed a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Billy Drake positioning him 5th on the starting grid for the opening night feature. The following night at Kankakee County Speedway (Kankakee, Illinois), Bob came up two spots short of a transfer position in his heat sending him into the B-Main. Needing to place in the Top 3, Gardner landed a runner-up finish behind Devin Gilpin locking him into the 17th-starting position for the feature. With $5,000 on the line, Bob improved two spots to place 15th.

On Friday evening at Sycamore Speedway (Maple Park, Illinois), Gardner fell one spot short of a transfer position in his heat race with a 5th place finish. Rolling off on the front row of his B-Main, Bob charged to a 12-lap consolation victory securing his spot into the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Starting in 17th, Bob Gardner passed six cars in the 55-lap affair reeling in an 11th place finish.

For the fourth round of the Hell Tour, Gardner was one of 27 Super Late Models on hand at Dirt Oval at Route 66 Raceway (Joliet, Illinois) on Saturday. Losing one spot in his heat, Bob logged an 8th place finish sending him into the B-Main. Failing to place in the Top 3, Gardner was granted a provisional into the show. With $10,000 on the line, Bob Gardner jumped up six spots to place 14th.
