July 28, 2018 - Bob Gardner Attends Prairie Dirt Classic at FALS
On Friday evening Bob Gardner invaded Fairbury American Legion Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois) for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series sanctioned weekend. Drawing a stout field of 61 cars for the 29th annual Prairie Dirt Classic, Gardner timed in 11th fastest in his qualifying group earning him the 5th-starting position for the $2,500-to-win preliminary feature. Losing one spot in the 25-lapper, Bob posted a 6th place finish.

Returning on Saturday night starting in 2nd in his B-Main for another shot at the $30,000-to-win finale, Bob logged a 4th place finish giving him one final chance at the main event with the Prairie Dirt Shootout. July 20, 2018 - Top 5 Finish in JR Kimler Memorial at FCR
Bob Gardner was one of 23 Super Late Models on hand at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) on Friday night for the 8th annual JR Kimler Memorial. Following the fourth fastest time overall in qualifying, Bob had mechanical issues before the start of his heat race that prevented the car from firing. Starting the $3,000-to-win A-Main in 18th, Gardner charged through the field 14 spots reeling in an impressive 4th place finish behind Ryan Unzicker, Mike Spatola, and Jason Feger with Rich Bell coming in 5th.

The following night at Fairbury American Legion Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois) for a tune-up for the upcoming Prairie Dirt Classic, Gardner timed in 5th fastest in qualifying before placing 6th in his heat. Before the start of the second heat race, race officials deemed the track unsafe and called the rest of the night off.

July 13, 2018 - Podium Finish in Local Show at FCR
Friday night found Bob Gardner in action at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) for the regular night of racing. After jumping out to an early lead in his heat race, Gardner suffered a broken rear-end sending him pitside. With the crew getting the car fixed before the start of the feature, Bob advanced through the field nine spots to place 3rd behind Kevin Weaver and Jose Parga with Matt Shannon and Russ Adams completing the Top-5 finishers.

July 7, 2018 - Bob Gardner Bags Second Win of the Season at Peoria Speedway
Bob Gardner returned with DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour on Friday night at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) for the $10,000 top prize. Following a 7th place finish in his heat, Gardner failed to lock his spot into the A-Main with a 9th place finish in his B-Main forcing him to rely on a provisional into the show. Rolling off 20th, Bob gained eight spots in the 40-lapper to place 12th.

The following night at Peoria Speedway (Peoria, Illinois), Gardner cruised to a 10-lap heat race victory positioning him 4th on the starting grid for the main event. Wheeling his way to the front, Bob topped Charles Hess, Matt Shannon, Rich Bell, and Todd Bennett at the line to pick up his second win of the season. (Jeff Hall photo)
