July 29, 2017 - Bob Gardner Attends Prairie Dirt Classic at FALS
Friday night brought Bob Gardner to Fairbury American Legion Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois) for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series sanctioned weekend. Drawing a stout field of 65 Super Late Models for the 28th annual Prairie Dirt Classic, Gardner laid down the fifteenth fastest in his qualifying group locking him into the 8th-starting position for the FK Rod Ends preliminary feature. Coming one spot shy of a Top 10 finish, Bob slipped back to a 11th place outing in the 25-lapper.

Returning on Saturday night looking to lock his spot into the $30,000-to-win finale via his B-Main, Bob logged an 8th place finish sending him into the Prairie Dirt Shootout non-qualifiers feature. With the winner of the 25-lapper given the option to take the $2,000 payday or join main event from the tail of the field, Bob Gardner gained two positions to place 12th.

July 15, 2017 - Gardner Finishes Sixth in Hell Tour Point Standings
Kicking off Champions Week, Bob Gardner was one of 28 Super Late Models registered in for battle at Hartford Speedway (Hartford, Michigan) for the final five nights in the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour. After timing in third fastest in his group, Gardner broke a fan belt in his final lap of qualifying forcing him to pull out his secondary car for his heat race. Coming from the tail of the field, Bob secured his spot into the feature with a 5th place finish in his heat. Rolling off 14th for the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Gardner held his spot for all 40-laps recording a 14th place outing.

After Mother Nature washed out the Hell Tour event on Wednesday at Thunderbird Speedway (Muskegon, Michigan), Gardner traveled to Merritt Speedway (Merritt, Michigan) on Thursday for the 29th annual Wood Tic weekend. Moving up one spot in his heat race, Bob landed a 3rd place finish positioning him 11th on the starting grid for the feature. With $5,000 on the line, Gardner dropped back to a 17th place outing in the 40-lap affair.

Making the final stop of the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour, Gardner headed to Oakshade Raceway (Wauseon, Ohio) on Friday for the two-day finale. Dropping one spot in his heat race, Bob logged a 4th place finish transferring him into the B-Main. Sending the Top 2 into the feature, Gardner landed a runner-up finish behind Devin Shiels earning hi the 20th-starting position for the A-Main. Passing six cars, Bob Gardner reeled in a 14th place finish.

On Saturday night for the annual Birthday Race, Gardner timed in third fastest in his qualifying group positioning him on the pole of his heat. Failing to place in Top 3, Bob transferred into the B-Main for another shot at the main event. With a provisional available, Gardner scratched from the consolation event and rolled off 22nd for the feature. Coming two spots shy of a Top 10 finish, Bob Gardner stormed through the field ten spots notching a 12th place outing.

After entering Saturday's finale in eighth in the point standings, Garnder finished in sixth after improving ten positions in the $10,000-to-win A-Main.

July 9, 2017 - Top 5 Finish With Hell Tour at Kickapoo Speedway
Opening the third week with the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour, Bob Gardner visited Quincy Raceway (Quincy, Illinois) on Monday for the $5,000 top prize. Following the fourth fastest time in his qualifying group, Bob scored a runner-up finish behind Kyle Bronson in his heat locking him into the 5th-starting spot for the A-Main. On Tuesday night with 36 Super Late Models signed in at Fayette County Speedway (Brownstown, Illinois) for the Fourth of July special, Gardner registered a 6th place finish in his heat race sending him into the B-Main. Failing to place in the Top 2 in his 12-lap consolation event, Bob relied on a provisional to make the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Coming from the tail of the field, Bob Gardner advanced through the field nine spots reeling in a 13th place outing.

Following a rainout on Wednesday night at Belle-Clair Speedway (Belleville, Illinois), Bob returned to action on Thursday at Macon Speedway (Macon, Illinois) for the 37th running of the Herald & Review 100. Edging his way into the feature with the 4th and final transfer spot in his heat race, Gardner earned the 16th-starting spot for the main event. With 100-laps to gain some ground, Bob reeled in a 12th place finish.

Friday night brought a stout field of 40 Hell Tour competitors to Farmer City Speedway (Farmer City, Illinois) for the $10,000 top prize. After falling one spot shy of transfer spot in his heat race, Bob slipped back to a 14th place outing in his B-Main forcing him to rely on a provisional into the feature. Starting on the tail, Gardner advanced through the field eight positions reeling in a 14th place outing.

On Saturday night with 32 cars signed in at Highland Speedway (Highland, Illinois) for the 20th round of the Summer Nationals Hell Tour, Gardner placed 5th in his heat locking him on the pole of his B-Main. Cruising to a 12-lap consolation victory, Bob earned the 17th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Moving up two positions, Bob Gardner logged a 15th place finish.

Closing out the third week in the Hell Tour, Gardner visited Kickapoo Speedway (Danville, Illinois) on Sunday.  After posting the fastest time overall in qualifying, Bob scratched from his heat and B-Main due to mechanical trouble. July 2, 2017 - Top 10 Finish in Hell Tour Event at Charleston Speedway
Piloting the GraybaR #4G Super Late Model, Bob Gardner opened the third week of the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour on Monday night by traveling to Clarksville Speedway (Clarksville, Tennessee) competing in a field of 26 cars. Taking the Top 5 out of the heats, Gardner came up one spot shy with a 6th place outing. Starting on the pole of his B-Main, Bob cruised to 12-lap consolation win earning him the 16th-starting spot for the feature. Moving up three positions on a track that saw very limited passing, Gardner posted a 13th place finish.

On Tuesday night Gardner returned to the Land of Lincoln for the $5,000 top prize at Charleston Speedway (Charleston, Illinois). After breaking his rear axle in hot-laps, Bob was able to make it out just in time for qualifying session after his crew worked to get the axle replaced. For the 13th round of the Summer Nationals Hell Tour, Gardner visited Plymouth Speedway (Plymouth, Indiana) on Thursday evening.  With 22 Super Late Models on hand, Bob qualified fourth fastest in his qualifying group before scoring a 4th place finish in his heat race. Rolling off 10th for the feature, Gardner fell two spots posting a 12th place outing.

Returning to action on Saturday night after wet conditions cancelled the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour and World Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series showdown opener at Terra Haute Action Track (Terra Haute, Indiana) on Friday, Gardner was one of 41 Super Late Models signed in at Federated Raceway at I-55 (Pevely, Missouri). Losing two spots in his heat race, Bob logged a 9th place outing sending him into the B-Main. Failing to place in the Top 2 in his consolation event, Bob was granted a provisional into the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Starting on the tail of the field, Bob improved seven spots in the 50-lapper registering a 18th place outing.

Sunday night brought Bob to Lincoln Speedway (Lincoln, Illinois) for the 15th stop of the Hell Tour. Gaining one spot in his heat race, Gardner recorded a 6th place finish sending him into the B-Main. After get spun around on the opening lap of his consolation event, Bob fell short of a transfer spot forcing him to rely on a provisional again to make the feature. Rolling off 18th, Bob Gardner reeled in a 15th place outing.
