December 21, 2019 - Gardner Lands 11th Place Finish in Dirt Nationals Opener
Thursday evening found Bob Gardner in action at The Dome at America’s Center (St. Louis, Missouri) for the opening night of the fourth annual Arizona Sports Shirts Gateway Dirt Nationals. With a round of time trials on Thursday setting up preliminary features on Friday, Gardner recorded the 15th fastest lap in his group.

Starting in third in his heat race on Friday, Bob edged his way into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with the 3rd and final transfer spot. Rolling off 15th, Gardner gained four spots in the 25-lap affair to reel in an 11th place finish.

On Saturday evening starting in third in his B-Main for one final shot at the $30,000-to-win finale, Gardner was running in a transfer spot the entire race until another competitor slammed into him on the final corner that eliminated his chances of transferring.

October 19, 2019 - Podium Finish in IL State Championship at Peoria Speedway
After Mother Nature postponed the event after several attempts, Bob Gardner was one of 28 Super Late Models on hand at Peoria Speedway (Peoria, Illinois) on Saturday night for the Illinois State Championship. Following the 11th fastest lap in time trials, Gardner gained two spots in the heat race to place 2nd behind Billy Drake. Earning the 6th-starting position for the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Bob improve three spots reeling in a 3rd place finish behind Ryan Unzicker and Jason Feger with Matt Shannon and Todd Bennett rounding out the Top-5.

October 12, 2019 - Gardner Invades Peach State with Lucas Oil
Saturday night saw Bob Gardner return to action at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned Dixie Shootout. With 39 cars registered in for action, Gardner fell three spots short of a transfer position in his heat with a 7th place finish. Needing a 3rd place finish or better in his B-Main to make the $12,000-to-win A-Main, Bob logged an 8th place outing.

Sunday’s Rome Showdown at Rome Speedway (Rome, Georgia) fell victim to Mother Nature.

September 14, 2019 - Top 5 Finish in Fall Classic at Peoria Speedway
Bob Gardner visited Peoria Speedway (Peoria, Illinois) on Saturday night for the annual Fall Classic. In a field of 24 cars, Gardner followed the up the fifth fastest lap in time trials with a 10-lap heat race victory. Starting the $2,500-to-win A-Main in 5th, Bob gained one spot in the 40-lapper to place 4th behind Mike Chasteen Jr., Billy Drake, and Todd Bennett with Charles Hess coming in 5th.

September 7, 2019 - Gardner Attends World 100 at Eldora Speedway
On Thursday evening Bob Gardner made the trip to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) kicking off the 49th annual World 100. With 98 Super Late Models on hand for a pair of preliminary features, Gardner posted an 11th place finish in his heat transferring him into the B-Main for another shot at the A-Main. Sending the Top 2, Bob logged a 9th place outing.

Returning on Friday night for another round of preliminary features, Bob held his spot for all 10-laps of heat to place 10th. Needing a 2nd place finish or better in his B-Main to make the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Gardner fell short with a 11th place finish.

Wrapping up the World 100 on Saturday afternoon, Gardner came in 10th giving him one final shot at the $52,000-to-win finale with a B-Main appearance. Transferring the Top 5 into the show, Bob recorded an 18th place outing.

August 31, 2019 - Mother Nature Rains Out Feature at Peoria
Bob Gardner was one of 27 American Ethanol Late Model Tour entries on hand at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) on Friday night for the $5,000 top prize. Recording a 3rd place finish in his heat race, Bob earned the 10th-starting position for the opening night feature. The following night at Peoria Speedway (Peoria, Illinois), Gardner followed the up third fastest lap overall in time trials with a 3rd place finish in his heat. Slated to start the feature in 2nd, Mother Nature made an appearance and postponed the event to Sept. 21st.

August 24, 2019 - 5th Place Finish in FALS Cup at Fairbury Speedway
Saturday night saw Bob Gardner in action at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois) competing in a field of 33 cars for another round of the FALS Cup. Starting the night off with a heat race victory, Gardner earned the 2nd-starting position for the A-Main. With $2,500 on the line, Bob fell three spots in the 30-lapper scoring a 5th place finish behind Tim Manville, Kevin Weaver, Ryan Unzicker, and McKay Wenger.

August 17, 2019 - Bobby Richey Jr Scores Top 5 Finish in Crate at Fairbury
Thursday night saw Bobby Richey Jr. hop behind the wheel of the Oberlander Electric No. 4 Crate Late Model entry for the Fair Race at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois). In a field of 24 cars, Richey Jr. laid down the fourth fastest lap overall before placing 3rd in his heat. Starting the feature in 7th, Bobby gained two spots reeling in a 5th place finish behind Aaron Heck, Dakota Ewing, Jose Parga, and Torin Mettille.

On Friday night at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois)  with both Bob Gardner and Richey Jr in action, Gardner locked his spot into the show with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Jason Feger while Richey Jr. came in 2nd behind Logan Moody. Rolling off 4th, Bobby dropped three spots logging a 7th place finish. Bob Gardner fell short of a Top-10 finish with a 13th place outing.

After Mother Nature wiped out Saturday night’s plans at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois) the team stopped at Peoria Speedway (Peoria, Illinois). Bobby Richey Jr. was able to qualify his Crate against a field of Super Late Models but failed to make it out for his heat race and feature. Gardner followed up a 10-lap heat race victory with an 8th place finish in the feature.

July 27, 2019 - 7th Place Finish in Rescheduled Feature at Lincoln, Attends PDC at FALS
On Thursday night Bob Gardner was back in action at Lincoln Speedway (Lincoln, Illinois) for the remainder of the feature from the rained out DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour event from June 30th. Rolling off 10th for the final 24 circuits, Gardner gained three spots to place 7th.

The following night brought Gardner to Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois) kicking off the 30th annual Prairie Dirt Classic. With 72 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries on hand for a round of preliminary features, Bob recorded the 14th fastest time in his group locking him into the 7th-starting position for his $2,500-to-win prelim. Starting in 8th in his B-Main on Saturday for another shot at the show, Bob improved three spots to place 5th but fell short of a transfer position. Transferring into the Prairie Dirt Shootout non-qualifiers feature for one last shot at the $30,000-to-win finale, Bob Gardner recorded an 8th place finish.

July 6, 2019 - 11th Place Finish in Hell Tour Stop at Farmer City
On Friday night Bob Gardner was one of 29 cars signed in at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) for another round of the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour. June 30, 2019 - Gardner Follows Hell Tour to Peoria Speedway
Wednesday night saw Bob Gardner in action at Peoria Speedway (Peoria, Illinois) following the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour. After scoring a 7th place finish in his heat, Gardner fell one spot short of a transfer position in his B-Main with a 4th place finish. On Sunday afternoon at Lincoln Speedway (Lincoln, Illinois) for the $5,000 top prize, Gardner came up one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a 6th place finish. With a provisional already secured, Bob scratched from his B-Main to prepare for the feature. Rolling off 20th, a steady shower rolled in with only four laps complete postponing the remainder of the event.

June 20, 2019 - 14th Place Finish in Hell Tour Stop at Spoon River Speedway
Bob Gardner returned with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour on Thursday evening at Spoon River Speedway (Canton, Illinois) for the eighth round of the tour. June 14, 2019 - Gardner Lands 10th Place Finish in Hell Tour Opener
After Mother Nature wiped out Wednesday’s opener, Bob Gardner followed the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour to Kankakee County Speedway (Kankakee, Illinois) on Thursday for the $5,000-to-win opener. In a field of 29 cars, Bob laid down the fifth fastest time in his group before placing 3rd in his heat. The following night at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois), Bob followed up the fastest lap in time trials with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Mike Glasscock. Slated to start the feature in 2nd, Mother Nature made an appearance and postponed the feature to later date.

Saturday and Sunday's Hell Tour events at Dirt Oval at Route 66 (Joliet, IL) and Fayette County Speedway (Brownstown, IL) fell victim to bad weather.

June 8, 2019 - Top 5 Finish at FCR
Friday night saw Bob Gardner return to action at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) for the regular night of racing. Gaining one spot in his heat, Bob posted a 2nd place finish behind Allen Weisser which positioned him 4th on the starting grid for the A-Main. May 27, 2019 - Bob Scores Runner-up Finish at Farmer City
Kicking off the Memorial Day weekend, Bob Gardner traveled to Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) on Friday evening for the regular night of racing. Following the second fastest time overall in qualifying, Gardner locked his spot into A-Main with a heat race victory. Battling with Brian Shirley for the top spot in the feature, Bob came up short at the line to place 2nd behind Shirley with Gordy Gundaker, Jason Feger, and Donny Walden rounding out the Top-5.

The following night at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois) for the Memorial Day Roundup, Bob came in 2nd in his heat behind Allen Weisser which positioned him 4th on the starting grid for the $3,000-to-win A-Main. Dropping six spots, Bob Gardner logged a 10th place outing.

May 17, 2019 - Gardner Salvages 4th Place Finish at FCR
Bob Gardner visited Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) on Friday evening powering his Oberlander Electric #4G Super Late Model entry for the regular night of racing. With 16 cars registered in for action, Bob laid down the fourth fastest time overall in qualifying before picking up a heat race victory. Rolling off 2nd for the feature, Gardner shot out to an early race lead until contact with a lapped-car late in the feature dropped him back to a 4th place finish behind Allen Weisser, Mike Spatola, and Gordy Gundaker with Mike Mataragas coming in 5th.

May 10, 2019 - Bob Gardner Lands Top 10 Finish in Crate at Farmer City
Friday night found Bob Gardner in action at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) pulling double duty in the Farmer City 74. In a field of 52 Schaeffer’s Oil Mars Racing Series entries, Gardner ran into mechanical issues early the night that prevented him from making it out for both his heat and B-Main.

In the Crate Late Model ranks, Bob passed three cars in his heat to place 5th. Starting the feature in 10th, Gardner improved five more spots reeling in a 5th place finish behind Trevor Gundaker, Chris Dick, Dakota Ewing, and Logan Moody.

April 20, 2019 - Bob Gardner Wins in Crate at Peoria Speedway; Records Podium Finish on Saturday
On Wednesday night Bob Gardner visited Peoria Speedway (Peoria, Illinois) powering his Glen’s Autobody #4 Longhorn Chassis Crate Late Model entry. Jumping up two spots in his heat, Gardner reeled in a runner-up finish behind Chris Morefield positioning him 2nd on the starting grid for the A-Main. Outrunning Morefield in the 25-lap feature, Bob soared to his first win of the season over Morefield, Roben Huffman, Chad Evans, and Jim Hagedorn.

Saturday night saw Gardner return to Peoria Speedway (Peoria, Illinois) competing in the Super Late Model ranks for the Gary Cook Jr. Memorial. Dropping one spot in his heat, Gardner scored a 2nd place finish behind Mike Chasteen Jr. locking him into the 6th-starting position for the A-Main. Improving five spots in the 30-lap affair, Bob reeled in a runner-up finish behind Chasteen Jr. with Roger Rebholz, Jason Jaggers, and Todd Bennett completing the Top-5 finishers.

April 13, 2019 - Gardner Places 13th in Chuck Hamilton Memorial at Peoria

April 6, 2019 - Bob Gardner Attends Illini 100 at Farmer City Raceway
On Friday night Bob Gardner traveled to Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) for the 12th annual Illini 100 presented by Douglas Dodge. In a field of 36 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries, Gardner fell one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a 5th place finish. Streaking to a 10-lap consolation victory, Bob earned the 18th-starting position for the opening night feature. Improving five spots in the 25-lap affair, Gardner posted a 13th place outing.

The following night, Bob laid down the third fastest time in his qualifying group before placing 3rd in his heat. Starting the $15,000-to-win finale in the 9th, Bob Gardner dropped three spots in the 75-lapper to place 12th.

March 31, 2019 - Gardner Bags 11th Place Finish in Thaw Brawl at La Salle Speedway
Bob Gardner kicked off the 2019 season on Sunday at La Salle Speedway (LaSalle, Illinois) for the rain-shortened eighth annual Hoker Trucking. With Mother Nature postponing Friday’s event to another date and eventually shifting Saturday’s finale to Sunday, Gardner followed up a 7th place finish in his heat with a 3rd place finish in his B-Main. Earning the 19th-starting positon for the $15,000-to-win A-Main, Bob improved eight spots in the 75-lapper to place 11th.

December 12, 2018 - 7th Place Finish in Gateway Dirt Prelim; Finishes 13th in Finale
Competing in a total of 51 events during the 2018 season, Bob Gardner captured three wins aboard his Pro Power Racing Engines #4g Oberlander Electric/ Longhorn Chassis Super Late Model with his brother John scoring one win at Peoria Speedway (Peoria, Illinois) in late August. Losing 13 of his scheduled dates to Mother Nature, Gardner recorded 28 Top-10 outings and 16 Top-5 finishes.

December 1, 2018 - 7th Place Finish in Gateway Dirt Prelim; Finishes 13th in Finale
Bob Gardner was one of 93 Super Late Models that made the trek to The Dome at America’s Center (St. Louis, Missouri) on Thursday night for the 3rd annual VP Racing Fuels Gateway Dirt Nationals. With qualifying on Thursday setting up heat race lineups on Friday, Bob registered the 22nd fastest time in his group.

The following night starting on the pole of his B-Main for one final shot at the $30,000-to-win finale, Gardner cruised to a 10-lap consolation victory locking his spot into the main event. October 27, 2018 - Bob Gardner Tallies Third Win of the Season in Season Championship at Peoria Speedway
On Saturday night Bob Gardner invaded Peoria Speedway (Peoria, Illinois) for a re-make feature from early October and the Norwood Pub-N-Grub Season Championship. Following a 2nd place finish in the rescheduled feature, Gardner locked his spot into the season finale with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Matt Shannon. Holding off 12th-starting Rich Bell, Bob Gardner charged to his third win of the season over Bell, Bryan Clendenen, Roger Rebholz, and Jason Wagner.

Following the second fastest time in his qualifying group, Bob scored a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Billy Drake positioning him 2nd on the starting grid for the opening night feature. Losing one spot in the 40-lap affair, Gardner scored a 3rd place finish behind Allen Weisser and Billy Drake with Todd Bennett and Mike Spatola completing the Top-5 finishers.

Friday night saw Bob Gardner in action at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) for the Sunoco American Late Model Series sanctioned program. Dropping two spots in his heat, Gardner recorded a 7th place finish positioning him 14th on the starting grid for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. Coming two spots shy of a Top-5 finish, Bob advanced through the field seven spots to place 7th

The following night at Fairbury American Legion Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois), Bob laid down the eighth fastest time overall in qualifying before placing 5th in his heat. Starting the $3,000-to-win A-Main in 14th, Gardner passed nine cars in the 30-lapper reeling in a 5th place finish behind Frank Heckenast Jr., Mike Spatola, Allen Weisser, and Scott Schmitt.

On Sunday Gardner stopped at Spoon River Speedway (Canton, Illinois) for the Midwest Big 10 Series sanctioned contest. After a broken transmission in hot-laps prevented him from qualifying, Bob gained six spots in his heat race scoring a 2nd place finish. Earning the 4th-starting position for the $1,200-to-win finale, Bob Gardner made hard contact with an infield tire on the opening lap that dropped him back to a 20th place outing.
